Description

Flight of steps TQ 74 NE LINTON 5/131 about 20 metres south of Linton Park GV II Flight of steps. Circa 1825. Imperial flight of stone steps, about 4 metres broad leading south down hill from lower terrace to south of house. Moulded steps and chamfered stone kerb. About 30 steps, separated by 2 landings. Further landing at top, with about 14 steps leading down to it at right-angles on each side, from lower terrace in front of house. Stone retaining wall to north and balustrade to south of these flights, balustrading returning to east and west and running beyond gable ends of house. Stone urns flanking landings of lower flight.
