Description
Six Bells is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the 17th century and restored in the 20th century. It is timber framed and rendered, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys set on a stone plinth. It features a continuous jetty that returns to the left and formerly to the right, supported by dragon posts, with the left post being moulded. The ground floor has exposed broadly-spaced studding. The roof is hipped, and there is a brick stack located towards the centre of the building. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of two three-light leaded casements. There is a ribbed door located in a 20th-century timber-framed porch beneath the stack. To the right, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension that also has broadly-spaced studding and a half-hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
