Description

Malt Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. The front elevation is built of yellowish brick in a Flemish bond pattern, while the gable ends are of chequered red and grey brick. The roof is tiled, with a hip design and gable end stacks. The building sits on a low stone plinth and has a dentil brick cornice at the eaves. The front has a regular two-window arrangement of slightly recessed 16-pane sashes, which break through the cornice line. The ground floor windows have segmental heads. A central panelled door is topped by a recessed semi-circular panel. The interior remains uninspected. The building is listed for its group value.
