Description

The Old Vicarage is a late 18th or early 19th century vicarage, now a house, with a later 19th-century wing and subsequent alterations. The main range is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, while the wing uses a stretcher bond. It has a plain tile roof. The wing slightly projects forwards on the left side. The main range is two storeys and attics, and the wing is two storeys high. A dentil brick eaves cornice runs along the top of the main range, and the wing has moulded bargeboards. Brick ridge stacks are located at each end of the main range, and there are three later 19th-century dormers with moulded bargeboards. The front of the main range has a regular arrangement of three windows, featuring recessed 16-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. Two recessed 12-pane sashes are located on the wing. A central half-glazed door leads into the main range, accompanied by a rectangular three-light fanlight set within a panelled recess and framed by a moulded architrave and flat hood. The interior of the property was not inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
