Description

Sutton House and the adjoining barn are a house dating from the 15th or 16th century. The structure is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. It has two storeys, with a right gable end that jetties out. The roof is hipped with a gablet at the left end, and there is a ridge stack towards the left end. The windows are arranged irregularly, featuring one 3-light casement on the left end, another 3-light casement in the centre, and a 2-light casement on the left end. On the ground floor, there is one casement on the left end and a large 20th-century bay window with a hipped plain tile roof in the centre. A panelled door with a flat hood supported by brackets is located between the ground floor windows. The barn at the rear left end is also weatherboarded and has a plain tile roof that is hipped at the far end.
