Description

This is a late 18th-century house pair, known as Stone Cottage and Spring Cottage. The cottages are constructed of roughly-coursed ragstone with red brick dressings, and have galletted stone to the left gable end. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and features a moulded wooden eaves cornice, a central brick stack at the rear, and two small hipped dormers. The windows are irregular, with two 3-light casements in each elevation. A boarded door is located at the left end (Stone Cottage), and a panelled door at the right end (Spring Cottage), each sheltered by a lean-to canopy. There are two short rear wings. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
