Description
Keeper's Cottage is a 15th-century timber-framed building with plaster infilling. It features a central section flanked by two projecting wings, each with a first floor that jetties out at the ends, supported by protruding floor joists and brackets, and curved braces on the first floor. The cottage has a tiled roof with one hipped dormer and three casement windows that contain small square leaded panes. There is a blocked contemporary four-centred doorway on the ground floor of the right wing, and an early 19th-century doorway in the left wing, which includes pilasters, a projecting cornice, and a six-panel door. The rear elevation also has two hipped dormers, and the roof slopes down to ground level. The side elevation is tile-hung.
