Description

Mote Cottage, formerly known as Willington Lodge, is a building from the 18th century, although it likely has an earlier structure behind its facade. It has two storeys and attics, with a plastered exterior. The roof is hipped and tiled, featuring a wooden eaves cornice. There are three hipped dormers that contain casement windows, and the building has four sash windows with wide glazing bars that are still intact. Architraves are present over the ground floor windows. A gabled glass porch was added in the 19th century. On the south wall, there is a chimney breast made of stone rubble on the ground floor, which is plastered above, topped with a red brick stack.
