Description

Park Mill House is a house dating from the later 18th century and mid 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond, while the first floor features channeled stucco, topped with a plain tile roof. The house is positioned at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys and attics. There are projecting brick stacks at both the left and right ends, with a hipped dormer on the right. The windows are regularly arranged with two sashes, and there is a canted slate-roofed bay window at the right end of the ground floor. To the left, there is a painted brick lean-to, and at the rear on the right side, there is a painted brick addition that forms a double depth. Additionally, there is a smaller parallel addition at the rear of the left half. The mid 19th-century addition is located to the right between the house and the road, featuring a rendered facade and a plain tile roof. This addition is two storeys tall with double gables and three rear stacks. The front has a regular arrangement of three sash windows, with the central window including margin lights. There are two ground-floor canted bays with slate roofs, and a central half-glazed door beneath a simple Doric-style porch. The interior has not been inspected, but the house is said to date from 1610.
