Description
Foxgrove House is a shop and house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has a timber frame and is rendered, with the right gable end featuring a chequered pattern of red and grey brick. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high with a cellar, set on a rendered plinth. There is a plat band at the right gable end and a slightly coved eaves cornice. The roof is hipped with the hips returning, and there is a rear stack towards the right end. The front has irregular fenestration consisting of three 4-pane sash windows. To the left, there is a rear wing made of painted brick, also with a plain tile roof. This wing is two storeys tall on a higher plinth, featuring a plat band, higher eaves, and a higher ridge. The eaves project with a boarded cornice, and there is a 3-light leaded casement window with top lights on the first floor. The entrance has a boarded door with a brick relieving arch. The interior has not been inspected.
