Description

These are two farm cottages, now used as a house row. They likely date to the early 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 19th century and the mid-20th century. The cottages are timber-framed with a ground floor on the left side clad in red brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern. The right end is faced with 20th-century red brick. The first floor is tile-hung. The roof is slate-covered and hipped, with small red brick stacks at the right and left ends, and a central, multiple-stack ridge stack. The windows are a mix of 20th-century casements, and there are half-glazed doors leading into No. 1 (on the left) and No. 2 (on the right). There are remains of a blocked door visible beneath the central stack. The interior has not been inspected.
