Description
Boxley Grange Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a front that may belong to an earlier building. The ground floor is constructed of random flint and chalk lump, while the first floor is made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, topped with a plain tile roof. The house has two storeys and a cellar, with a hipped roof at the right end. A large central gault brick ridge stack is present, along with a projecting gault brick stack at the left gable end.
The windows are arranged irregularly and consist of four segmental-headed casements: one with two lights towards the left end, another with two lights slightly left of centre, a single-light casement with a cill lower than the others towards the right end, and a final two-light casement to the right of it. There are also three blocked windows interspersed among the casements. A 20th-century half-glazed door is set in a gault brick architrave with a segmental head, positioned off-centre to the left.
At the right end, there is a slightly recessed red brick lean-to on a stone plinth, featuring a stack on the front elevation at the junction with the main range and a small two-light casement. A gault brick lean-to is located at the left end. The rear elevation showcases a chequered pattern of red and grey brick on the first floor.
