Description

This is an early 19th-century pair of buildings on Parrock Street. They are two or three to four stories high with a basement, constructed of stock brick. The central two-window section is set forward, flanked by three-story wings that are set back. The roof is slate, topped with a cornice and parapet. The central section features three-light curved bay windows with decorated cambered head linings on the lower floors. Number 195 has two sash windows in its wing, retaining some glazing bars, and a Tuscan portico. Number 196 has one sash window and a round-headed doorcase, but no portico.
