Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of two houses, located at 17-19 Shrubbery Road. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, built of brown brick, with No. 19 having a pebbledashed front. Each house has two sash windows on each floor, with original glazing bars set within moulded architraves. The ground floor windows are round-headed, and all houses have porches supported by thin cast iron columns, with the porch at No. 18 featuring wooden columns. A flight of steps leads from the street to the front entrances, flanked by cast iron railings. The roofs are slate. Nos 17 to 19 form a group with the adjacent properties, although Nos 13 to 16 are considered buildings of local interest.
