Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of three houses, numbered 16 to 19, Milton Place. The houses are three storeys plus attics and a basement, built of brown brick, with numbers 17 and 18 painted. The roofs are mansard style, covered in slate or modern pantiles, each with one dormer window. A parapet runs along the top of the buildings. Each house has two sash windows, with most of the original glazing bars remaining. Houses 17, 18 and 19 have original 1st-floor balconettes. A stringcourse runs between the ground and 1st floors. The ground floor windows are round-headed, and the doorcases have cornices, reeded pilasters and rectangular fanlights. Number 18 has a later 19th-century, three-light canted bay window on the ground floor. Numbers 15 to 19 form a group.
