Description

This is a two-dwelling house, originally a single residence of around 1840, located on Milton Place. The building is three storeys high with a semi-basement, constructed of brown brick and featuring a parapet and a wooden modillion eaves cornice. The facade has five sash windows, the glazing bars having been lost. Venetian shutters are present on the first and second-floor windows. An iron balcony is positioned on the first floor. Number 10, Gordon House, has an Ionic porch accessed by seven steps with an iron handrail and a round-headed doorcase with a semi-circular tympanum. A recessed window bay was added to the north end, along with a mid-19th century stuccoed porch with an iron handrail, now serving as the entrance to Number 10A, Milton House. A similar porch originally balanced this addition on the opposite side.
