Description

Balcony House, located at No 148 High Street in Sandgate, is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with a semi-basement, all finished in stucco. The building features a parapet with stone coping and a dropped moulded cornice. On the second floor, there are two sashes with intact glazing bars. The first floor includes a later wooden balcony. The left side of the building has a round-headed doorcase set within arcading, accompanied by two round-headed sashes also set in arcading. A flight of stone steps leads down to the street. Balcony House is part of a group with Nos 146-152, with Nos 146 and 152 being buildings of local interest.
