Description

This is a pair of 18th-century cottages situated endwise to the road, with access from both Station Road and Poplar Lane. The cottages are two storeys high. Number 43, known as Fernwell House, is constructed of red brick with a tile-hung side elevation. Number 45, or Ferndale, has a roughcast finish. Both cottages feature tiled roofs and two sash windows each, with original glazing bars intact. They have simple doorcases.
