Description

This is a row of three houses, originally one building, dating back to the 15th century. The timber-frame structure has been refronted over time, but with some original features remaining, especially at number 98 where a section of the original tile bressumer (a beam supporting overhanging upper floors) is still visible. The building is arranged over two storeys and has a steeply pitched tiled roof. Numbers 94 and 98 have plastered frontages, while number 96 is faced with painted brick. The windows are sash windows, but the original glazing bars are missing. The building has modern shop fronts, and number 98 features a doorcase with a reeded frame. Numbers 94 to 98, number 102, and numbers 106 to 130 form a group of buildings.
