Description
Brattle House is a house built in the second half of the 17th century. The ground floor is made of yellow-red brick, while the first floor is tile-hung. It has a plain tile roof and follows a lobby entry plan. The building is two storeys high, set on a brick plinth, and features a moulded wood eaves cornice. The roof is half-hipped with a central brick ridge stack. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, consisting of two 3-light casements and a central 2-light casement. The ground floor windows have segmental heads. The central door has four fielded panels and two top lights, topped with a flat bracketed hood. To the right, there is a short mid-19th century rear wing and a late 18th century rear lean-to. There is also a single storey addition to the right with one glazing bar sash. The interior has not been inspected.
