Description

Honeysuckle Cottage is a 18th-century building located at 22 Wilberforce Road in Sandgate. It is two storeys high with a basement. The first floor is tile hung, while the rest of the building is made of painted brick. The roof is hipped and tiled, featuring paired bracket eaves cornices. On the first floor, there are two sashes with intact glazing bars. The ground floor includes a three-light canted bay window with verticals only, and a doorcase on the right side that has cornice brackets and pilasters. There is a flight of steps leading up to the street. Honeysuckle Cottage was formerly a chapel associated with number 24, contributing to the group value of the buildings in the area.
