Description

Belmont is an early 19th-century building on the north-west side of High Street, Sandgate. It is a four-storey structure, rendered in stucco. The roof is hipped with old tiles, and it features a parapet with stone coping. The front elevation has two sash windows with intact glazing bars. The main entrance case is located on the first floor, leading to an iron trelliswork porch with a tent-shaped canopy, approached by a flight of stone steps. The ground floor has one sash window, a very narrow sash, and a six-panelled door with a fanlight; four of the door panels have been cut out and glazed. The side elevation is covered in tiles. Belmont forms part of a group with numbers 118 to 122 on the same side of the street.
