Description
This building is a house located about 20 meters east of Chalk Pit House. It dates from the late 17th century and the mid-19th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The house is constructed of red brick and has a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high on a plinth and features a central stack. To the right, there is a rib and stud door with a sidelight. There is a projecting 19th-century wing to the right that has an end stack. On the first floor, there are two metal casements, and on the ground floor, there is one metal casement along with the rib and stud door, which has a flat hood and sidelight at the re-entrant to the main range. The left return of the house has a plinth and a brick cornice, with one metal casement on each floor set in basket-arched openings. The rear elevations also have a plinth, a plat band, and a cornice. There is a date stone on the left return, which is initialed E R, although the date is illegible. This building is included for its group value.
