Description
The Black Pig Inn is a public house that dates back to the 15th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame with close studding and plaster infill, topped with a plain tiled roof. The main range consists of four framed bays and is two storeys high, built on a plinth with end jetties. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there is a cluster of stacks on the centre right.
On the first floor, there are two wooden casements, while the ground floor has one canted bay and one wooden casement. There are also two boarded doors located at the centre and centre right of the building. To the left, there is a projecting two-storey wing with a hipped roof, which features one glazing bar sash on each floor at the hip end, and two glazing bar sashes along with a panelled door on the return elevation. Additionally, there is a single-storey 19th-century extension to the right.
