Description

This is a well housing located about 3 metres south of Summerfield Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a weatherboarded roof. The structure features three vertical supports and curved bracing at the base, with end posts that have long end shores, although the southern shore is missing. To the left, there are cogged winding wheels and gear, along with an iron Ducket. On the right side, there is a planked platform designed for standing on while operating the gear.
