Description

Victoria Park comprises a row of twenty-six houses numbered 1 to 26, built around 1850 to 1860. The buildings are listed for their prominent position overlooking Dover and the approaches to Dover Castle. They are constructed of yellow brick with hipped slate roofs and have five storeys plus a basement, the basement level being above ground on the west side. Each house has three or four windows. The central three houses project slightly and have a higher elevation. A cornice sits above the third floor. The third-floor windows are round-headed, while those on the second floor have architraves and pediments. Iron balconies are present on the first floor. The listed buildings and a lodge within Victoria Park form a cohesive group.
