Description
Nos. 7, 8, and 9 Lauriston Place is a terrace of three houses built around 1835. The front is made of yellow brick and features stone coping, while the side elevations are stuccoed and the roof is concealed with slate. The houses are three storeys high with a semi-basement, each having one window. Most windows are sashes with intact glazing bars; the second floor has 9-pane sashes, while the lower floors have 12-pane sashes. However, No. 7 has mid-19th century sashes with vertical glazing bars and horns. The terrace has a parapet with stone coping and simple round-headed doorcases. The doorcases include fanlights, with No. 7 featuring patterned glazing and Nos. 7 and 8 having original five-panelled doors. There are flights of steps leading to the street, equipped with ramped iron handrails and spear railings.
