Description

No. 48 King Street is an early 17th century building that was refaced in the early 19th century. It has two storeys and features two windows, constructed from brown brick. The building has a modillion eaves cornice, and the glazing bars are intact. On the first floor, there is one curved window. Below, there is a contemporary or slightly later shop window with wooden shutters, although its horizontal glazing bars are missing. The doorway is adorned with pilasters, a pediment, and a six-panel fielded door, with the top two panels being glazed. The roof is tiled. Nos. 38 to 54 (even) form a group with this building.
