Description
This is a group of 16th-century timber-framed houses located on the east side of Church Street, St Mary's. The ground floor of the buildings has been partially rebuilt. The upper floors retain herringbone brick infilling. The first floor has a wide overhang supported by a carved strap bressummer and a central bracket. The houses are two storeys high. Number 28 has one modern sash window on the first floor, and two leaded lights. The ground floor has four windows; Number 30 has an original two-panel door, Number 28 has a modern door, and Number 32 has a battened door. Numbers 16 to 22 (even), the rear walls of numbers 16, 18, and 20, and the walling between Numbers 32 and 34 combine to form a group.
