Description

This is a late 15th-century timber-framed building, originally a single three-storey house with a tile roof, located on the southwest side of New Street. The building was altered in the 18th century. It now presents as two properties, numbered 16 and 18.

The original timber framing is visible, particularly with some brick infilling on the ground floor, while the first floor is plastered and the second floor is heavily cemented. The ground floor has two small 18th-century-style fixed windows, each with 12 intact glazing bars. The first floor features sash windows with intact glazing bars, and the second floor has casement windows. The two entrances have panelled doors, each divided into four squares.
