Description

Spencer House is an early 19th century house featuring brindle brickwork and two storeys with a slated roof. The first floor has three windows, each with flat arches and keystones, and all glazing bars are intact. On the ground floor, there are two windows that also have similar arches and glazing. The doorway is topped with a semi-circular arch made up of two rings and fluted keystones, and it includes an ornamental fanlight. The modern door consists of four panels, with the upper two being glazed. Spencer House is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 8 (even) Austen's Lane, Nos 12 to 20 (even) King Street, and Nos 13 to 21 (odd) New Street.
