Kennels Building Laundry Cottage And The Spinney

The Kennels Building, Laundry Cottage, and The Spinney are a group of structures built around 1871. They are constructed of yellow brick with red brick dressings and feature a slate roof. The layout includes an open courtyard plan, with the main block rising to two storeys and displaying four barge-boarded gables. The central bays of the main block project slightly and feature a central elliptical archway. Flanking the main block are single-storey wings with gabled end pavilions, which return to the rear. The overall design is symmetrical, comprising eight bays with a central gateway. The windows are wooden casements, with one window in the right-hand wing inverted to serve as a doorway within a glazed porch. This building is part of a larger complex that includes a riding school, stables, kennels, machine house, and cottages, all constructed around 1871 for the Waldershare estate.
