Description
The Monument Inn is a medieval timber-framed building that was refaced in the early 19th century. It has two storeys and is covered in stucco. The roof is old and tiled, featuring a modern double dormer. On the first floor, there are two blank areas and two sash windows with only vertical bars. The ground floor has two cambered sash windows with keystones and intact glazing bars. There are also two doors, one of which has a pedimented surround that includes the name of the Inn. The building has a plinth and two stone steps at the entrance. The Monument Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 34 to 38 and Nos 2 to 8 Whitstable Road.
