Description

The Blue Anchor Inn, located at No. 25 North Lane, is part of a 15th-century timber-framed building. It has two storeys, with the first floor tile-hung and the ground floor finished in pebble dash. The roof is old and tiled, featuring one hipped dormer. There are two sash windows with intact glazing bars. The entrance has an early 19th-century doorcase topped with a wooden weatherhood supported by brackets. On the left side, there is a studded door. Timber framing is visible through the carriage entrance. The Blue Anchor Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 25 to 27.
