Description

The Sun Hotel, located at 7 and 8 Sun Street, is a timber-framed building that dates back to 1503. It has been plastered over and features two storeys with a restored tiled roof and stone coping. The front has three sash windows with intact glazing bars and an overhang. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows, one of which has a panelled riser. The entrance includes a doorcase with a rectangular fanlight. The hotel is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 Sun Street.
