Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century range of buildings comprising numbers 20 and 21 Sun Street. It is a three-storey building originally roofed with mathematical tiles, which are now painted. The roof retains its original tiled covering. Eight sash windows with intact glazing bars are set within wooden architraves. Number 20 has a largely 20th-century shop front, but retains a narrower original shop front on the left side, featuring Tuscan pilasters. The original staircase remains within the building. Number 21 possesses a later shop front. Numbers 20 and 21, along with numbers 14 to 24 and numbers 50 to 61 Palace Street, form a notable group.
