Description

An 18th-century stable or outbuilding stands about 20 yards northwest of Evegate Mill House. The structure has a timber frame set on a ragstone base, topped with a plain tiled roof. It is single-storey and hipped, with the right return elevation strengthened with ragstone to protect against erosion from the River Stour. Two half-doors are present on the roadside elevation. This building provided stabling for the mill house, located on the opposite side of the road, and is included on the heritage list due to its group value with nearby buildings.
