Description
Harville Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century, built on earlier foundations. It features a red brick exterior and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a plinth and a bracketed eaves cornice beneath a hipped roof, which has chimney stacks at both the rear left and rear right. The windows are regularly arranged, with three sash windows on the first floor, two on the ground floor, and two in the basement, all having gauged heads. The central entrance door is made up of six panels, with the top two being glazed, and is topped with a cornice supported by brackets. A flight of four steps with an iron handrail leads up to the door. There is a canted bay window on the right side of the house. At the rear, there is a second hipped range with stacks located in the roof valley. Notably, the site was home to Wye Racecourse until its closure in 1975.
