Description
Wye Bridge is a bridge built in 1638, with repairs made in 1684 and alterations in 1881. It is constructed of stone and features an iron roadway. The bridge has five round-headed arches and two V-shaped pointed cutwaters positioned upstream and downstream. The original parapet was removed in 1881 when the cantilevered iron roadway was installed. A stone inscription recording its construction in 1638 and repair in 1684 is now located in the Church of St Gregory and St Martin.
