Description

Bramble Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, which was re-clad and extended in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of timber framing, with painted brick and a plain tiled roof. The house has a lobby-entry plan in an L-shape. The main range is one storey and attic, while a cross-wing is two storeys high and sits on a plinth. The main roof is gabled, with a hipped dormer window to the left and a central hipped semi-dormer and chimney stack to the right. The cross-wing has a hip and gablet roofline and a stack to the rear right. There are two wooden casement windows and a boarded front door in the main range, a single wooden casement window on the first floor of the cross-wing, and three on the ground floor.
