Description

This is a pair of houses located on the south side of Bridge Street. The present red brick and tile-hung exterior dates to the early 18th century, although the core of the building is older. The construction is timber-framed and demonstrates two distinct phases of bricklaying. The houses have a plinth and two storeys, topped by a hipped roof with a cross-hip that overhangs to the centre left. A chimney stack is located at the centre rear. Each floor has three sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The central left elevation features a panelled door within a moulded doorcase topped with a pediment and approached by two steps. A half-glazed door, protected by a flat hood, is present on the right return. An outshot, single-storey range with a slate roof includes a half-glazed door and wooden casement windows.
