Description
Nos. 2 and 3 Church Hill are a pair of cottages built in the 17th century, with a date of 1683 marked in blue headers, and further alterations made in the 18th century. The cottages are constructed from flint and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof. They are one storey tall with an attic and represent two different building periods.
On the left side, there is a flint and brick plinth, English bond brickwork, and a plat band. The right side lacks a plinth and features Flemish bond brickwork along with a plat band. The gabled roof includes three gabled dormers, and there is a stack at the left end, positioned towards the rear right. The cottages have an irregular arrangement of three windows, which are 20th-century wood casements, with a segment-headed window on the right. There are two doors with moulded surrounds and flat hoods supported by brackets; the right door has six fielded panels and a side light in a segment-headed opening. A blocked doorway is located at the extreme left.
