Description
Swanton Court is a house dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with some ragstone and features a plain tiled roof. The building has a double range and is two storeys high, with a hipped roof and stacks located to the left and rear left. The front facade has a regular arrangement of three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, along with a central half-glazed door set in a moulded architrave, topped by a flat hood. The return elevations are finished in ragstone. The rear elevation, which dates from the 19th century, includes three segmentally headed metal casements on each floor and another half-glazed door. The house is situated within an impressive moated site.
