Description

This building on Bridge Street is a house and shop, likely built in the 18th century but incorporating an earlier structure. The front is rendered with exposed red brick at the rear. It has a plain tiled roof, two storeys and an attic, and a hipped roof with a hipped dormer and a stack to the rear. The front of the building has a sash window with glazing bars on the first floor and a plate glass shop front below. The main, western elevation has five sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. On the ground floor, there’s a half-glazed door within a raised surround and cornice. A doorway is located to the end on the right. The building was undergoing restoration at the time of the survey.
