Description

Barnfield is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building located on Barnfield Road in Charing. It features two parallel ranges, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and a tile-hung first floor. An overhang is visible on the right-hand side of the building. The rear range is notable for its massive brick chimney stack. There are six casement windows, and the left side has a doorcase with a flat hood supported by brackets. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace.
