Description

These are two early 19th-century buildings, numbers 12 and 14 on The Square. Constructed in 1833, they are built of red brick with a decorative stucco band running along the second floor. The buildings are three stories high, with two windows each, except for number 14 which has three. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Modern shop fronts now occupy the ground floor. The buildings have a modillion cornice and a parapet, and the roof is not visible. Numbers 10 to 25 on the north side of The Square are designated as a group of buildings of collective architectural merit.
