Description

This is a terrace of three houses located in St Peter’s Street, Bishops Waltham. The houses were built in 1905. They have walls of brickwork in Flemish bond, characterized by alternating headers (short ends of the bricks) with blue bricks, and include blind arches with stone keys. There is a decorative band of brick and tile. The roof is tiled, with wrought-iron eaves brackets, and is stepped to follow the slope of the roadway. Each unit is identical, being two storeys high with one window on each front. The windows are casement style. Each doorway has a side window located beneath the arch, and stable doors. The terrace is recognized for being an unaltered example of the Arts and Crafts style, applied to dwellings intended for artisans, built on a restricted central site.
