Description

A terrace of five houses located on London Street in Leek, dating to around 1830. The houses are built with Flemish bond brickwork, with No. 51 painted. They have plain-tiled roofs. Each house has two storeys and a two-window front, with a doorway to the left of each elevation. The doorways have cambered arched brick heads, and the ground-floor windows originally had similar cambered brick heads, although these have been altered. The upper-floor windows have pointed-arched heads and Y-tracery, originally with cast-iron glazing bars and wood opening lights. Axial stacks are present. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. The terrace represents a distinct phase of development, mirroring the design of Nos. 35-41 London Street.
