Description

The gates and boundary walls in front of Langtons date from the early 19th century. The north and west boundaries of the site feature tall red brick walls, constructed in both English and Flemish Garden Wall bond, with stone capping and a brick plinth. At the north-west corner, there is a gateway with a symmetrical arrangement facing north, consisting of two piers and walls that curve towards the inner gate-supporting piers. The piers are brick columns with stone bases and caps that include Greek cornice and frieze mouldings. The walling along the western boundary is mixed and incorporates large figures from 1771 made with blue headers.
