Description
This is an L-shaped fragment of a wall dating from the 15th century, located 50 meters south and east of Marwell Farm Barn. The wall has been much altered over time and is constructed of rubble flint with stone dressings, along with brick additions and repairs. It features a tiled coping. The wall measures 30 meters long and has a wide opening near the corner that is now blocked, with brick dressings. The eastern limb of the wall is 50 meters long and has a stone square-headed arch from the 16th century. Part of the wall near the corner has been rebuilt with a brick top half. There are stone quoins at a step-in halfway along the wall, alongside a blocked stone pointed doorway from the 15th century.
